What always runs

We count how often a restaurant appears in search results and how often its page is opened. That is how FamousFor knows which restaurants to read reviews for next, so it is the one measurement the product genuinely needs.

It uses no cookie, no cross-site identifier and no account. Each visit gets a random id held in your browser tab, which disappears when you close it. We never store your IP address. These records are deleted after 180 days.

What runs only if you accept

Google Analytics, which tells us how people move through the site over time. If you have not accepted, the Google script is never downloaded — not loaded and switched off, but absent — and no Google cookie is set. Declining costs you nothing: search, restaurant pages and every link work identically either way.

What we never do

We do not store anything about the people who wrote the reviews we read. We analyse text; we do not collect people. We do not sell data, and there are no advertising or social tracking scripts on this site.
